Cute robin

I really love red robins, there is something that makes them particularly cute. :)

I refilled our birds feeder a few days ago for the winter and I can already see the results, sweet...

Love Facebook!

I should say: "I love the internet" really. But, Facebook is particularly cool. It's helped me reconnect with a few people lately and I'm grateful for that. It's just a shame that not everybody uses it. ;)

In addition to reconnecting with people, it can also be useful to know what people truly think... Interesting what the status updates can reveal about people and how some of their conversations there teach you one thing or two. I think some people would be well advised to think twice before they write anything online.

EUMETSAT

I went to meet Tim at work today to have lunch with him, so you are getting a picture of EUMETSAT. ;)

For those who don't know what EUMETSAT is, it's the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites.

More after bath madness ;)

Yesterday I posted a picture of Connor after bath. Here are more, they had lots of fun throwing these soft toys in the air and, really, just being silly!

Post bath madness

Whoever said that bath is calming to children... All I know is that my boys always appear like they are totally mad after a bath.

Tonight was no exception! They both grabbed a soft toy and had lots of fun throwing them in the air. Here is a picture of Connor in action.

Weekly weigh in - Week 11

So, I skipped week 10 as I was in France. Let's just say that the results are as bad as expected given the circumstances. ;)

Next week will be better!

Starting weight: 85.55 kg
Last week's weight: 83.65 kg
This week's weight: 84.40 kg
Total loss so far: 1.15 kg

Final goal weight: 70 kg

Wrapped up warm

We are having a wave of cold weather and snow.

The new craze

Logan and Connor's current craze is to fight monsters. They have two toy laser swords and this is currently their weapon of choice for their beastly fight.

Usually, the monster is hiding in the kitchen. Logan will go in there first with his laser sword and come back to the living room. The monster will then usually end up in the living room where both boys will fight it with their swords. The most common outcome is the monster being transformed into an ant by Logan or being held prisoner within Connor's sword... ;)

Back pain as fitness motivator?

So, I was in France visiting my mum and I did not exercise while I was there. I have been just short of two weeks without exercise. Every time I stop exercising - even for a short while - I start having back pain again. This time was no exception and, yesterday, I was in quite a bit of pain.

So, today I resumed my exercise plan and I hope it will help - once again - with the back pain.

At least, that is a pretty strong motivator to get some exercise done! It's way easier to exercise than to live with back pain!

Snow! Finally...

I have been waiting for the snow to finally fall for the last two days. There has been snow forecast and I was really excited! I love snow and was so disappointed last winter that we didn't have snow. We have snow every winter and it was my first German winter without snow. It only started shortly before the boys' bedtime and they were pretty excited. Let's just hope there is still enough tomorrow so they can play in it!

Fighting monsters

The boys are going through a fighting monster phase and their favourite weapons are their light sabres.

Stormy sky

There is a storm in preparation at the moment, the wind is starting to be pretty impressive and we have snow forecast for tomorrow...

Maybe a snow picture tomorrow! ;)

Not looking forward to the next weigh in!

I think the title says it all! LOL

It's always hard to stay on track when travelling, particularly when back in France when I have access to all the goodies I can't find in Germany, particularly tempting...

And, it doesn't help that I DID NOT exercise at all! I had all the good intentions in the world, I did bring with me my work-out DVD, my mat and weights. What I forgot were my work-out clothes and shoes. I guess, deep down, I didn't really want to exercise.

Oh well, whatever Tuesday's weigh in brings, I've got to get back to work! :)

Picking up leaves

Yesterday was the first day of our holiday with a decent weather. The boys really needed some fresh air and exercise, so we went in my mum's garden and picked up the many, many leaves.

Bye for now!

I'm leaving tomorrow morning with the boys to go visit my mum. We will be there until 21st November and I don't have an internet connection while there. So, it's bye for now from Corinne, Logan and Connor. :)

Why dinosaurs disappeared - by Logan

Logan coloured this dinosaur picture and then felt he had to draw meteorites that were going to wipe the dinosaurs out! ;)

Why he also punched some heart-shaped holes, I'm not sure...

Came back to edit, I asked Logan why he punched the hearts, he said: "because it is for you" :)

Feeling better :)

I think it's pretty obvious that Logan is feeling better today. ;)

He still had to stay home from school because he has a low fever. But, it hasn't gotten worse through the day and I have hopes that it means he is over it.

Weekly weigh in - Week 9

Another small loss this week: 250 gr, but that's all good, it goes down and it does every week, that is all that counts. Don't they say that the weight you lose slowly stays off more easily? ;)

Starting weight: 85.55 kg
Last week's weight: 83.90 kg
This week's weight: 83.65 kg
Total loss so far: 1.90 kg

Final goal weight: 70 kg

Sick boy

Logan had to stay at home today, he has a pretty high fever.

Burnt Lantern

This is what's left of Connor's lantern after it caught fire during the "Lanterne Fest" on Friday evening. My poor boy was so upset that his lantern was damaged! :(

More from the Lanterne Fest

Yesterday evening was the "Lanterne Fest" from Logan and Connor's school. It's a traditional German celebration that's got to do with carrying lanterns around and then making a big fire, while singing some German songs "Lanterne, Lanterne..."

The lanterns are lit by real candles and are made of paper. I just let you imagine how stressful it can be having a 3 and a 4 year old carrying these. Actually, Connor's caught fire and was partially destroyed, which really upset him.

Otherwise, I think they really enjoyed it, despite my stupidity. I was convinced that the celebration started at 18:00 and realised 5 mins before it was time to leave that it started at 17:30! So, we rushed there and had to run through the streets to catch up with the parade and Logan was really upset at having missed the beginning. Luckily, we caught up with them about half way and Logan finally seemed to start enjoying himself. Unfortunately, Connor also started to be ill before we left with fever, so he wasn't at his best...

In this picture, you can see the big hole on Connor's lantern where the paper burnt...
