Turkish Socks - Progress

These socks are taking me some time. First, I have done three other projects (mitts) since starting them, but I'm also suffering from my carpal tunnel and the fair isle doesn't help with that. So, I'm making them slowly.

That said, I'm really excited at how they are turning out, I think they'll be gorgeous! :)

Connor's Mitts

For Connor, I used some leftover sock yarn from Tim's socks.

70s Here I Come!

I'm so happy to be losing weight regularly and I'm really seeing my way out of the 80s now, that feels so good! :D

I have been in the 80s for at least 6 years now so I've promised myself forever that when I reach the 70s I'll be getting a treat.

Now that I'm so close, I really have to think about what I will get myself. I have an idea already, that might be a new tattoo...

Fasching Fun

The boys were sooooo excited about Fasching this morning. Connor actually jumped out of bed when I told them to get up and that it was Fasching! ;)

Here they are just before leaving for school.

Logan's Mitts

Yesterday I made a pair of mitts for me. Well, Logan saw that and declared immediately that he wanted a pair too! So, I dug out some leftover sock yarn and, here we go! Now, of course, Connor wants some too! ;)

Tantrum Connor

No comment! ;)

Picture of the day for 20.02.09

Logan got his face painted at school. He is going to be a dragon for Fasching, I'm guessing this is why he got a dragon face. The red bits under his mouth are supposed to be fire.

Hand Warmer

The first hand warmer finished. I'm doing these to keep my wrists and hands warm, which helps with the pain from the CTS.

Yes, it's George!

Fasching Costumes

These are pictures that the boys drew at school of themselves in the costumes they will be wearing next week for Fasching.

So, Logan drew himself in his dragon costume. It's amazing how realistic his drawing of the costume is! And I love that he has chosen the right colours for his hair and eyes. :)

Connor will be Spiderman. I can see the right colours and what I'm guessing to be movement. :)

I love Paul McKenna's method!

I have been following Paul McKenna's rules for about a month now, maybe a little bit longer. I really love it! I am losing steadily, slowly, but steadily. I have lost every week since I started and it has been so easy! I have never lost weight this easily before. The best thing is that I know this is the right way for my body to lose weight. Yes, it is slow, but it is for the long run, no more yoyo-ing for me!

I know for a fact this time that this is it! These rules are such common sense that they have already become second nature and I know I'll stick with them for the long run.

Thanks Paul! <3

Weekly Weigh In - Week 23

Last week's weight: 82.25 kg
This week's weight: 82 kg
Total loss so far: 3.55 kg

Turkish Socks

The Turkish socks I have just started, I'm pretty excited about these, especially since this is my first "fair isle" attempt.

The new splint I now have to wear at night in the hope to help with my newly diagnosed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Not the most comfortable thing in the world in bed :(

Pattern creation

I saw a picture of a beautiful pair of "Turkish" socks and tried to copy the pattern, which looks like this. I think I'll use it for my next pair of socks. :)

Here we go again...

I got very frustrated with the pattern I was attempting for my new socks. After several unsuccessful tries, I decided to give up and start with a new pattern. Here it is...

This new project is for ME, with a yarn that I love. And, the name of the pattern is Rainbow Socks...

I thought the sky looked beautiful in the evening when I got back home from picking up the boys at school and I love when you can see the moon before it's dark.
