This tree is at our local playground, it was the first time today that I noticed its funny shape!

Muffins

I just made a batch of muffins to take to the boys' school tomorrow for the Nikolaus Fest.

Tacky?

This is one of these 70's style lights, with the long "branches" and the lights at the end. Tim bought this recently and my first thought was "how tacky!". But, the boys love it... :)

Frost

This morning is very cold, with thick frost and fog

Snowflakes

Today, the boys cut some snowflakes. They were actually really good at it. On this picture, you can see one of Logan's creations :)

There is a storm in preparation at the moment, the wind is starting to be pretty impressive and we have snow forecast for tomorrow...

Not many left

At least on the trees! They are now, of course, all over the place but there really are not many leaves left on the trees now, here comes winter...

Stroopwafels

This is a typical Stroopwafel container. Stroopwafels are Dutch syrup waffles. They are yummy!

We get a lot of these slugs in our garden, I don't know exactly what they are called but, at home, we call them leopard slugs

I know, another sky, but with the blue theme and the beauty of the sky this morning, I just couldn't resist, the urge was just too strong!!! ;)

Today at the playground

I went to the playground with the boys this afternoon, we were lucky that the weather was dry today. We took their bikes to get there.

Playground

We spent a long time at the playground this afternoon and the boys had lots of fun playing together.

Some time back, we instituted a reward chart for Logan (and one for Connor, but that is an entirely different story, a total disaster...). It was to start giving him chores. The one chore we were following with the chart was setting the table before meals. It is now Logan's responsibility. He has just completed the 20 days of his chart and got to choose a present. He wanted a Bionicle (what else?!). Tim found a couple of scorpion Bionicles and that seemed like the perfect find for three reasons: 1. it's a Bionicle 2. it's scorpions and Logan has a passion for scorpions 3. there are two so Connor can get one too...

So, after a quick treasure hunt, Logan found his present. :)

After playing with the new scorpions, they attempted to jump on our bed! We managed to get them to stop quickly, but I still got a couple of shots. ;)



Later, the boys watched a DVD and Connor went for a spontaneous cuddle with Logan. Unfortunately, Logan wanted nothing to do with it. Connor was pleading: "Please, Logan, give me a hug", to no avail...

Logan

Sushi

I went to pick Tim up at work at lunch and we had sushi in town. I love going to that place, it's pretty cheap at lunch time (8.90 EUR) and you can eat as much as you want for that price. The boys love it too!
