And here is the result from the wool I dyed yesterday. I will be starting a pair of socks with it today.

Exciting Attempt!

Today, for the first time, I decided to dye some wool. I used three colours from this pack: green, blue and orange. The wool is now drying. So exciting! :)

After three weeks with virtually no change, I'm delighted to have an 800g loss this week. It's fantastic! :D

Redstart Baptised...

After being asked (by Kari) what I would call this one, I decided to baptise her Ambre. I think it's a good fit, as it is exactly the colour of her tail :)

Finished they are, but I'm not happy with them, the fit is just not right... I won't be wearing them, will be undoing them soon to use the yarn for something else.

New Bird in Town

This is a new bird I've first noticed yesterday. There are actually two of them from the same breed (I think). This is probably the female. The second one is very similar, except it is darker and the orange tails stands out more. The male also has some white on top of the wings. It's not obvious on this picture, but the tail is pretty red/orange, about the same colour as the plastron on red robins.

Anybody knows what they are? I didn't find them in my book about European birds...

Would you believe it, there's a yarn series from Opal called Harry Potter and the different colours have character names. I really fell in love with the Ron colour and started knitting a pair of socks for me with it

My First Felting Effort

This is the first time I attempted felting. It did work out OK, but it got much smaller than I expected. This is a learning process and I have learnt things that I'll apply next time. Of course, I have already several felting projects in mind now! ;)

Another thing I knitted for the presents I'm making for Clay and Storm's first birthday. I had some leftover yarn from the jumper so I decided to make a hat. Here, it's modeled by Logan. It's too small for him, of course, but I really like how the crown looks.
